"Literacy for All Pennsylvanians" (Senate Bill 801, Act 135) is an important initiative that Simplify Writing® can support. Our curriculum provides instructional materials aligned to the science of reading that instruct students in foundational literacy skills in a structured manner.

Our program provides students with the core knowledge in writing that they need to tackle both grammar and written expression questions on assessments.  Students will apply this knowledge to rigorous writing tasks that include paired passages and opportunities for constructed response. Grammar is embedded into writing instruction so students can practice applying language skills in context. Many opportunities for feedback are built in, helping students improve their writing skills and feel confident in showing mastery on formal assessment.

Every Simplify Writing® license includes access to our writing training course, designed to give teachers a comprehensive understanding of how to approach writing instruction using research-based strategies. This 8-hour, self-paced course includes modules on gathering data via pre-assessment, establishing a writing block, and differentiating for diverse learning needs.

Simplify Writing® focuses on something most ELA programs do not: explicit, systematic writing instruction. Our program is a great replacement for weak writing activities in current programs and is designed with the flexibility to align to any reading curriculum.

Yes! Simplify Writing® is fully customizable, allowing teachers to provide targeted instruction to support specific learning needs. With strategy-focused, direct instruction, resources utilize teacher modeling and scaffolded practice routines that students can rely on.

Our Intervention and Modification libraries provide both the systematic guidance and resources required for building in time and support for students working below grade level, and/or students whose first language is other than English so that they can access the materials and learn alongside peers.  

We do offer school licenses and accept purchase orders. Our school licenses follow the school schedule. Licenses can be transferred to new teachers at any time during the year by contacting us. Please click here to request a quote.
